Free Phone Consultation.
Here’s your chance to tell us about your child’s history and challenges, along with your vision and goals. We’ll answer any questions you have!
Adjustment and fine-tuning.
Regular checks-in with you to evaluate how the program is going. Together, we work as a team to modify the program as needed.
Student Assessment.
All clients receive an informal assessment during the initial session. Along with you, we will also review your child’s academic levels with any outside evaluations, teacher input, and work samples. We will hone in on the child’s current needs and will set measurable goals. This step can also include a more formal supplemental evaluation.
Growth.
Progress is monitored during each session. Your child achieves academic goals. Watch as they experience new confidence, develop positive attitudes, and build resilience.
Tutoring.
By using evidence-based methods aligned to your child, we create a completely individualized instruction plan. This allows you to track your child's progress with the data collected along the way.
Report.
At your request, we write a report which includes our assessment data, tutoring history, instructional practices, and student progress notes. This can be helpful to coordinate services for your student and can be particularly useful if your student is completing the school IEP process, which often requires Response-to-Intervention type data.
Our Offerings.
Educational Services.
Our traditional offering is one-on-one sessions tailored to meet your student's specific needs. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is meticulously designed to enhance the learner's understanding and mastery of subjects. Parents receive a written summary and recommended at-home practice work after each session via email. This ensures continuity in the learning process and enables parents to participate actively in their child's educational journey.
Book Clubs.
Dive into the world of literature with our Book Clubs. Designed to foster a love for reading and critical thinking, our Book Clubs bring students together in a stimulating environment to explore and discuss various literary works. Sessions encourage interactive discussions, enhance comprehension skills, and promote empathy by exploring diverse perspectives. Homeschooling Support.
Embrace the homeschooling journey with confidence. Our Home Schooling Support services are designed to assist families in providing a structured, enriching educational experience at home. From curriculum planning and lesson delivery to providing assessment tools and resources, SP Tutor supports every aspect of your homeschooling needs. Our approach ensures that students receive a comprehensive education that aligns with their learning style and academic goals, all within the comfort and safety of their home environment.
